PEAT gives our sauce its depth and character — but peatlands are also vital ecosystems, supporting biodiversity, storing carbon and helping regulate water systems.
So from day one, we committed to giving back more than we take.
We built what didn’t exist
When Hannah looked into peatland restoration, one thing became clear:
There was no simple, accessible way for companies to get involved.
So she created one.
The Peatland Restoration Foundation - brings together peat-using companies to fund and support real restoration projects — making it easier for businesses to take responsibility for the resources they rely on.
How it works
We work collectively to restore peatlands at scale.
- A percentage of each member's revenue is directed into restoration
- Funds support landowners and crofters managing peatland responsibly
- Regenerative practices are embedded to allow peat to recover naturally
This includes protecting uncut peat, cutting at sustainable depths, and supporting traditional methods that allow regeneration
